Last week, Oracle Specialized Partner, brij hosted our annual customer event, LINK: A JD Edwards Community Event, in Greensboro, NC. For nearly 10 years, this event has brought together both our JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and JD Edwards World clients from across the eastern United States for a full day of networking, education and hands-on learning opportunities. This year was no different.
Earlier this year, we announced the re-branding of the event with a focus on the continued innovation of the JD Edwards product line. The theme of the event was MOMENTUM: What’s your driving force?. This was apparent throughout the agenda.
From the captivating welcome presentation where our VP, Richard Garraputa, gave us a physics lesson using p=mv to demonstrate how the momentum of business change continues to grow…
…To the morning keynote where Oracle Director of JD Edwards Business Solutions, Mark Nix, highlighted updates from Oracle OpenWorld and provided the JD Edward product line road maps …
…To the motivational and eye-opening closing session that focused on personal momentum from Dr. A. F. Salam, Associate Professor of Information Systems, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (ISSCM), Bryan School of Business and Economics, UNCG.
In addition to the 14 JD Edwards focused breakout sessions, attendees were able to network with a selection of premier JD Edwards third-party product vendors including, Platinum Sponsor, Data Systems International and Gold Sponsors, ARCTOOLS, Q Software Global and Magic Software. Quest International Users Group, Customer Engagement Manager, Mike Hilton, also provided a brief presentation over lunch on the value of JD Edwards community connectivity.
Our goal with this theme was to help our clients discover how your actions or in-actions today can help you build momentum to impact your job, your bottom line and your future. Based on attendee feedback, we feel that we accomplished this and so much more.
Even had a couple minutes for selfies with the picturesque Grandover course as a backdrop.
Thank you to all of our clients and partners who helped to shape this experience for all of us. We are already working on the 2015 event and have selected the date of Thursday, October 29, 2015. So mark your calendars, because the 2015 event promises to be even greater!
