IFRS – G-20 drops mention of 2011 deadline in support of global standards

The G-20 reiterated its support for a single set of international accounting standards at its latest gathering in Toronto, but backed off from an earlier emphasis on meeting a June 2011 deadline. “We re-emphasized the importance of achieving a single set of high quality improved global accounting standards,” said a statement from the group of countries.   More details in this article by Gavin Hinks from AccountacyAge.
