Each year we take a group of underprivileged/under-recognized/underserved high school students to a foreign country through a foundation we started called Dustin’s GreenHouse (www.dustinsgreenhouse.org). This year we are taking 10 students to South Africa to work with orphans, do a shark cage dive, experience an African safari and to meet Desmond Tutu. In past trips we have taken used laptops that have been donated by business people who are upgrading to newer models.
In most developing countries having a computer is a dream that never comes true. So this is my plea to the JD Edwards community, if you have an older laptop that is still in good working order and would be willing to fulfill an African child’s dream please let me know. You can contact me at martin.green@brij.net.
PS – Dustin’s GreenHouse is a non-profit, all volunteer organization trying to change underprivileged American kids lives by teaching them how to give back and live their dreams, so all donations go directly to help kids.
Thank you
Martin Green
